What to wear: Fall Guide
Do you struggle putting together outfits for family pictures? Then this is the post for you!
Autumn in Utah is such a beautiful time of year; the leaves are starting to change color and the weather is gradually cooling down. Cooler weather means hot chocolate, soups, all things pumpkin spice, long sleeves, and boots.
Choose a Color Palette
Pick 3 or 4 colors that look good together & start from there. Remember the colors you choose should also take into consideration your own personal style as well as the location of the session.
Here are some fun color schemes especially for fall.
Orange and navy make such a statement together. The footwear is classic, yet simple. I love mom's necklace and watch to add some simple accessories.
This color combo is really fun and bold. Magenta, yellow, olive, navy all complement each other. I love the girl's scarf and her sister's hat. And the choices in clothing aren't too complicated. They look like casual, every day wear for this family.
Red, white and black all go so well together. This family really looks sharp! I love mom's chunky necklace that adds some nice bling.
The Dating Divas has a great guide on prepping for fall family photos. I love the mention of earth tones, plaid, and navy and yellow. Patterns are just as important as color choice. Don't be too overwhelming, but have one person wear the pattern, and everyone else dresses to complement the pattern.
I hope this guide will help inspire you and take away some of the stress that comes with planning family pictures. You should feel comfortable, yet fabulous!
